Pedro Passos Baltazar

Pedro Passos Baltazar, born on Olhão’s city day in the good year of 1983, is a local sculptor and painter. His first sculpture, a work of funerary art, stands in Olhão’s “Old” Cemetery, and his first recognised painting, in a Post-Impressionist style, was produced at the age of 19 and is held in a private collection.

He is influenced by the work of painter John Singer Sargent, by the Post-Impressionist period, by sculptor Alberto Giacometti and by Umberto Eco’s novel "The Name of the Rose", which was life-changing for him.
