Célia Mendonça Mendes 

Célia Mendonça Mendes is the ceramicist and founder of 4 Elements Cerâmica e Azulejo, a project created in 2000. Ceramics and tiles became the main form of expression in her artistic career, as she developed work built on creativity, experimentation and artisanal know-how. 

Inspired by the four elements – Earth, Water, Air and Fire –, the project combines traditional techniques with a contemporary language, giving rise to original, authentic and timeless pieces in which identity and quality are celebrated in every creation.
