Matilde Fulgêncio Marcelino 

Matilde Marcelino is a 16-year-old artist and artisan, and a pupil at Olhão Secondary School. Coming from a family with strong ties to the arts, she found in artistic creation her main form of expression from an early age. Her work draws on fantastical, imaginative worlds, exploring different drawing techniques through the combination of dry and wet media. Besides drawing, she also works on macramé, crochet, sewing and costume jewellery projects, reflecting an interest in experimentation and handmade work.
