Mariana Sousa 

"I am a 20-year-old native of Olhão and have been taking photographs since 2022, the year I bought my first camera. I started out in digital, but over the past two years I have found a new rhythm and a new passion in film photography. I am fascinated by this slower process, which challenges me to look carefully and at length at our everyday life – something so familiar to us, yet holding a quiet, extraordinary beauty. In my work, I explore different styles and compositions as I build my own artistic path. I am currently studying in Porto but am returning to my home town for this exhibition."
