Lea Damez

Lea Damez is a 17-year-old Portuguese pupil currently in Year 12 at Dr. Francisco Fernandes Lopes Secondary School where she is taking the visual arts course. Her main interests include reading, drawing, sport - especially volleyball - and working with children.

In her artistic work, she identifies above all with realism, although she seeks out subjects that go beyond darker realities. She explores a range of materials and techniques, such as watercolour, sepia, sanguine, charcoal and soft and oil pastels, the last being her favourite. She has recently taken up stone carving, guided by her father.
